The Black Health Lit® Mission...
To ignite a movement towards better health for Black Americans through transformative health literacy programming
Our Vision
A world where Black Americans achieve optimal health through elevated health literacy
Our Why
Health disparities have long impacted Black communities, resulting in a significant gap in health outcomes.
58% of Black Americans have basic or below basic health literacy which directly impacts health outcomes.
Addressing these issues requires a multifaceted approach that combines education, advocacy, and community engagement.
By focusing on health literacy, we aim to bridge this gap and foster a future where every Black person can thrive in good health.
